We welcome you.  APANO has undergone significant development over the last two years, and this years Statewide Convention promises to bring together over 100 Pacific Islander and Asian community members who share a common vision for an empowered, civic-engaged advocacy organization.  Our community is fast growing.  We are old and new immigrant communities, we are 2nd and 3rd generation children, we are elders, we are refugees, we are innovative entrepreneurs, we are youth, and most of all, we are family.

In 2009, APANO grew into a strong grassroots statewide organization, committed to careful listening to the needs of our diverse ethnic and language communities.  Over 150 individuals joined APANO in our first year of formal membership, 250 community members participate in our Many Rivers Project Circles, and over 1,000 people joined our email list.  We hosted our first Legislative Day at the Capitol, bringing API's from 17 different cultures across 4 generations, to meet with over 30 Representatives and Senators.
